Mynah, Age 11

My daughter Mynah is at the end of her first 10 weeks of therapy. We came to Academy of Vision Development because for the past 3 years, we noticed Mynah’s difficulty in reading. Finally, this past summer a family friend was working with her and noticed her eye movements. I brought her to Dr. Sanders and found out she had a visual impairment, and we started vision therapy. In these first 10 weeks, Mynah has been able to figure out how to make her eyes see things. She is more fluent when reading, better at remembering what she reads and is willing to read. She has more confidence at school and wants to learn. I am so thankful for vision therapy and all the work Dr. Sanders has put in to helping my daughter. I can’t wait to see what the next weeks will bring for Mynah!
